Auto Link FAQs

What is the Auto Link?
The Auto link is a plug-in replacement for the standard electronic or mechanical speed pulse module used to activate Distance Measuring Devices (DMIs). The Auto Link plugs into the OBD connector in your vehicle without the need to hard wire and connect to cables found under your vehicle.

How accurate is it?
Our comparative tests indicate the Auto Link accuracy is 99.9%, or about one foot in one thousand feet. Click here to see graphs of a typical test.

How do I know if my vehicle is supported?
All vehicles since 1996 have a standard connector to connect to the diagnostic computer in the vehicle. This is the OBD connector we use.

Will it work with all DMIs
Yes, since all DMIs use the same type of pulses and have the same RJ11 connector.

Do I still need to calibrate the sensor?
We suggest you calibrate the Auto Link sensor just like you would a regular transmissions sensor to get the best possible accuracy. If your speedometer seems pretty accurate and you don’t need the ultimate in accuracy for your application then you can skip the calibration step.

Where can I get more information or purchase an Auto Link?
Currently the Auto Link is available from North Line Canada, Ltd (877-278-8342)

What is the price of the Auto Link?
Pricing is very competitive with standard interface modules.
